I had forgotten that back in the day there were certain battles that even though they are placed early-on in the game - they are almost impossible (Unless you literally got VERY lucky). You can use it to cheat if you want to but I made myself some rules that I want to follow and playing that way - it's just a blast. BUT the Gold Boc Companion takes care of this allowing you to level up 'in the field' so to speak. It's certainly a 30 year old game in terms of graphic's - and even some of the original content (like having to go to a Training hall to level up characters).
